6 OCT 1899: Public Sales seem to have become an epidemic in these parts. Job Williams and Sumner Carver will have theirs next Monday. So many sales will surely bring rain. If so, let the good work go on.

13 OCT 1899: The Williams-Carver sale came off as advertised with good prices prevailing especially on cows and calves, one spring calf bringing $29.75.

9 FEB 1900: Job Williams delivered corn to Leonard Yaple Thursday and Friday.

9 MAR 1900: Those who are on the move as far as our observation: John Hardcastle to Blanchard, Luther Johnston to the Hardcastle place, Mr. McKee to the Johnston place, Ora Sieho__?__ to the __?__ Pike place and Bud Wilcox to Job Williams' place. Dave Monroe has rented the Outhier farm and moved to it. Job Williams moved Wednesday to Braddyville. We are sorry to have Job leave our community, but presume it will only be temporary.

11 JAN 1901: Pg. 1: J. E. Williams has sold his farm northeast of town for $51.25 per acre. Sorry to hear that Job has sold, but trust he will buy near Elmo and settle down again in this vicinity where he has lived so many years.
